5.0 out of 5 stars. Great Casual Wear
Reviewed by Anonymous from Pennsylvania on Thursday, February 6, 2014
I needed a pair of soft, insulated, slip on footwear for casual wearing in the house and for occasional short forays outside, such as trips to the mailbox, etc. I was attracted by the appearance, specifications, and the brand name. However, there was a host of negative review comments about the sizing. Having a size 10 foot of medium width, I was wary of the sizing and ordered a size 11. The fit is perfect for me. I wear them with a pair of Acorn Versa fleece socks, and my feet are comfortably warm. As a diabetic, I have trouble keeping my hands and feet warm, but these booties have solved the problem for my feet ! They meet my needs perfectly, in all respects. I would, however, repeat the caution about sizing and advise ordering one size up.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Comfortable, but tiny

I ordered a size 10 (the only size left available) -- normally I take an 8-1/2. They fit, but it gets tight even with a sock. I have a high instep and a wide foot, so perhaps that is part of it, but these definitely are undersized.
Still, with my sized foot, they are very comfortable, and I really like the soft rubber outsole combined with an above ankle slipper.. It is hard to find a combination slipper like that, and it makes it very handy for popping out to grab something off the porch or walkway without making a mess of the slipper like the leather bottomed ones.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Lands End Quilted Nylon Bootie

Nice and warm! I cannot abide cold feet/hands, so I made it my mission to find a solution. I needed shoes that are light, comfortable, warm and have a little bit of a sole on them in case I really need to go out on the deck or driveway. These filled all of those requirements. The sole is substantial enough to allow you to walk on a damp surface without getting soggy feet but pliable enough to allow you to put your feet up on your ottoman comfortably. They have a really wide opening so you can usually put them on without bending over.....I say usually because sometimes the top flops over and then, you may be forced to bend over for necessary the hands-assisted action. They have a draw-string closure that allows you to cynch them tighter around your leg/ankle and keep the cold air out. At $17, the price was way cheaper than some others I found online which is what drove me to purchase these. I am not disappointed

These look good and seem well enough made for the price. Only drawback for me is that they have that super-straight last.

I work from home and in the winter the floors get cold. These are perfect for getting around between my studio and the house. Excellent value for the price!
  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Quilted high slippers

The booties appear to be well made, but the were very narrow in the toes. I take a normal width shoe, so I was surprised how tight they were in the toe.
